DESCRIPTION:The Search Committee for the Arts &amp\; Crafts Director and the Office of Campus Activities would like to invite you to meet candidates for the Arts &amp\; Crafts Director position.  \n \nIn the Campus Presentation and Open Forum\, candidates have been asked to give a 15-20 minutes presentation responding to the prompt: What does an inclusive\, anti-racist\, and anti-oppressive arts and crafts program look like? How do you imagine this shaping your vision for the arts &amp\; crafts program and your personal practice? before answering questions from the attendees. \n \nAll sessions will take place from 1 – 1:45 pm in Gaylord Hall on the following dates:\n\n\nFriday\, April 29\nMonday\, May 2\nTuesday\, May 3\n\nIdeally\, attendees will be able to make all three sessions OR have a representative from your office/area attend each of the three sessions\, asking the same question each time to provide the candidates an equitable experience. Advance RSVP is NOT required as space is not limited but it is encouraged by emailing <a href="mailto:campusactivities@coloradocollege.edu">campusactivities@coloradocollege.edu</a> so you can be added to the meeting invite.  \n \nHere is a little bit more information about the position in lieu of the full position description: \n \nThe selected candidate will ideally be a collaborative visionary who is excited to develop\, expand\, and re-envision a well-established and beloved co-curricular program. They will not only have expertise in artistic practices and instruction but also be student-centered individual who is committed to the development and mentorship of college student instructors/practitioners as well as the other professional\, part-time program staff. Someone who values all creative pursuits and all individuals\, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all program participants\, with a demonstrated commitment to diversity\, inclusion\, equity\, justice\, and liberation work would thrive in this position.  \n \nWhile being an artist and educator is very important for success in this role\, this position encompasses a good deal of administrative work (supervision\, event planning\, scheduling\, committee service\, etc) and will also oversee the upkeep and maintenance of clay\, fiber arts\, and metal studios.
