DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, May 4th at 5:30 in Bemis Great Hall Prison Project (with support from the history and political science departments) will be hosting a workshop on restorative justice. Joining us will be several experts in this field: Juaquin Mobley from Colorado Springs Community Works\, Lynne Lee and Amanda Adamson from Pikes Peak Restorative Justice Council\, and Mallory Everhart from Southern Colorado Black and Pink. The CC Community faces an inflection point. We have begun\, and must continue to\, recognize and discuss the harm inflicted upon the community by other students\, faculty and staff\, and other institutional foundations of Colorado College (i.e. the block plan\, well-being services\, Title IX\, etc.). Restorative justice processes offer us a tangible means of addressing harm and re-envisioning accountability outside of the punitive and carceral logic typically offered to us. \n\nPlease\, after the pause come get a skill that actually helps create ways we as a community can care for one another.\n\nhttps://today.coloradocollege.edu/events/4530
