DESCRIPTION:Racism is often less about people's intentions and more about our assumptions. Like other forms of systematic inequality\, racism involves bad-faith assumptions toward and treatment of people from BIPOC communities. This session introduces ways that white people receive the benefit of the doubt ("privilege") while people from BIPOC communities are treated in bad faith.\n\nThis session incorporates foundational concepts through lecture\, discussion and small-group exercises.\n\nMasks are required at this session - please bring one with you\, we will have a limited number available to give out at the session if needed.\n\nPresenter: Dr. Amanda Udis-Kessler\, Director of Assessment and Program Review This event is not open to the general public. https://www.coloradocollege.edu/newsevents/calendar/details.html?EventID=49263&amp\;booking=1SEQUENCE:0\n\nhttps://today.coloradocollege.edu/events/4580
