DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join Steven LaPointe\, Sicangu Lakota\, for a smudging ceremony to start Block 2.  Smudging is an ancient Indigenous/Native American spiritual practice which incorporates the smoke of medicinal plants (sage\, sweetgrass\, and cedar) for purification.  Smudging helps to eliminate negativity and brings balance and focus to participants.\n\nSteven is a Native American culture and history instructor with Denver Public Schools\, Native American Culture and Education Department.  Steven is an advocate for Native youth\, mental healthcare\, and substance abuse prevention.\n\n\n\nhttps://today.coloradocollege.edu/events/4928
