DESCRIPTION:Kate Aitchison is an artist whose work is centered around ideas of landscape and the human interventions in the natural landscape\, especially in regards to the manipulation of water\, and ecologies. Currently working with paper she makes herself from invasive plant species and recycled materials collected from site specific areas\, she utilizes the medium of printmaking to work though iterations of landscapes changed by human actions.  Aitchison graduated from Colorado College in 2010 with a BA in Studio Art and earned her MFA in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2016.
