DESCRIPTION:In honor of Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month\, Indigenous Studies &amp\; Anthropology invite you to view and discuss the documentary Qallunaat! Why White People are Funny. This documentary pokes fun at the ways in which Inuit people have been treated as “exotic” documentary subjects by turning the lens onto the strange behaviors of Qallunaat (the Inuit word for white people).  A collaboration between filmmaker Mark Sandiford and Inuit writer and satirist Zebedee Nungak\, Qallunaat! brings the documentary form to an unexpected place in which oppression\, history\, and comedy collide. Informal discussion with Indigenous anthropologist Christina Leza will follow the film screening. Lunch provided from Indigenous-owned Carefree Bar and Grill. \n\nhttps://today.coloradocollege.edu/events/5608
