DESCRIPTION:Come watch two winter graduates in math present their capstone projects!\n\nAnni Zettl\n3:00 - 3:20 PM\nThe Vlasov-Poisson Equation\nAbstract: In this talk we will discuss a uniqueness-existence proof for the Vlasov-Poisson Equation. \n\nSkye Qiu\n3:25 - 3:45 PM\nSupersingular Isogeny Diffe-Hellman\nWith the rising of post-quantum computers\, people realized that the basic elliptic curve cryptography was too weak. To secure the complex encrypted messages\, another cryptography system called Supersingular Isogeny Diffie-Hellman (SIDH) was created and widely used before it was successfully attacked in July 2022. Rather than simply sharing the key\, SIDH requires two parties start with the same elliptic curve\, choosing their own secret integers and points in the kernel to compute their isogenies. Later\, they exchange the image curve and the image points under their isogeny to each other. Using their own secret number and the shared key provided by the other party\, they eventually arrive at the same shared secret. The goal of this capstone is to give a general idea of SIDH by constructing examples over the field F_p^2 and p=2^a3^b-1 with the use of SageMath.\n\nhttps://today.coloradocollege.edu/events/5764
