DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy Indigenous dance performances featuring Sarah Ortegon and Colorado Native Organization Dance Troop. They will be presenting two traditional types of Native American dance jingle dress and Norther Plain traditional dance.  These performances will occur before and after The Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company Production of Where We Belong that is being performed in the FAC theatre.\n\nSarah Ortegon will be dancing the jingle dress dance\, and Sarah is Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho. Haleakala is Kanaka-Maoli\, Lakota &amp\; Taos Pueblo. She is a jingle dress dancer. The jingle dress is a healing is a dance where the dancer’s prayers are carried to the creator. Nick Ohitika Najin is Mni Coujou Lakota. He is a Northern Plains Traditional Dancer.  This type of dance is based on telling stories about war\, hunting and life.
