DESCRIPTION:The Colorado College Summer Music Festival presents a Faculty Artists Concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. Thursday\, June 22 in Packard Hall. These concerts feature our professional musician Festival faculty performing a wide array of chamber music.\n\nThe June 22 concert opens with Duruflé’s Prélude\, Récitatif et Variations performed by Elizabeth Mann\, flute\; Toby Appel\, viola\; John Novacek\, piano\, followed by Simon’s be still and know\, performed by Stefan Hersh\, violin\; Bion Tsang\, cello\; Susan Grace\, piano. The program continues with two pieces by Ruth Gibbs\, Sea-weed Song and Threnody\, performed by Robert Walters\, English horn\, and Grace\, followed by Intoxication from Novacek's Four Rags for violin and piano\, performed by Scott Yoo\, violin\, and Novacek. Closing the concert is Schubert’s Octet in F Major\, with Stephen Rose\, violin\; Steven Copes\, violin\; Appel\; Tsang\; Susan Cahill\, bass\; Laura Ardan\, clarinet\; Michael Kroth\, bassoon\; Michael Thornton\, horn.\n\nSingle tickets for Festival Artists Concerts are $35 for the general public\, $30 for Festival donors\, and $5 for children and students. Season tickets to all five Festival Artists Concerts presented in June are $160 for the general public and $140 for donors. Season tickets to all seven Festival concerts (five Festival Artists and two Festival Orchestra) are the best value for music lovers at $200 for the general public\, $175 for donors\, and $150 for first-time ticket subscribers.
