DESCRIPTION:Want to learn more about the city of Berlin and German culture through language\, history\, literature\, and film? And fulfill some all-college requirements? Spend the fall semester 2024 in Berlin! No knowledge of German required and no prerequisites. You will take two German language classes at your level (beginner to advanced\, all-college language requirement) plus two topics courses: GR120: “Babylon Berlin: From Rural Village to Global Metropolis” (Profs. Bill Davis and Ane Steckenbiller\, fulfills AIM) and HY111: “Berlin: Capital of the Twentieth Century” (Prof. Jake Smith\, EPG and HP). 4 blocks encouraged\, 2 block options are available but may carry extra costs. Program fee replaces room &amp\; board. Field trips included. If you’re interested\, come to our info session on Thursday\, Feb. 8\, at 12:30pm Worner 213 (there will be pizza!). Applications due in Summit on March 15.
