DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe <a href="https://clscholarship.org/">Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program</a> is an immersive\, fully-funded\nsummer opportunity for American college students to learn languages essential to America’s engagement with the world.\n\nCome have some pizza 🍕 and learn more about how you can spend next Summer 2025 abroad studying Arabic\, Chinese\, Hindi\, Indonesian\, Japanese\, Korean\, Persian\, Portuguese\, Russian\, Swahili\, Turkish\, or Urdu abroad! In-person programs will be funded by this U.S. Department of State initiative\, as well as virtual language study through the CLS Spark program (for Russian\, Arabic\, Japanese\, Korean\, and Chinese only).\n\nApplications will open in early October for a mid-November deadline (TBA) for next summer\, so this competitive and selective opportunity is one that requires planning ahead.\n\nThis kickoff info session will be led by Heather Powell Browne\, your CLS Campus Advisor -- pizza provided!
