Click or tap if you trust this link.">Costs of War Project</a>: research partners Dr. Jennifer Greenburg\, Assistant Professor of International Relations at the University of Sheffield\, and Dr. David Vine\, Board of Directors Member for the Costs of War Project and Professor of Anthropology at American University (2006-2024)\, for lunch\, presentations\, and discussion.  \n\nDr. David Vine "War in Pop Culture"\nDr. Vine will discuss a soon-to-be-released Costs of War Project report illustrating the many ways pop culture is militarized\, from Hollywood movies and video games to football flyovers and GI Joe toys to music and fashion\, social media\, and far beyond. Amid a recent upsurge of concern about US wars from across the political spectrum\, the project shows how pop culture helps glorify and build unquestioning support for war.\n \nDr. Jennifer Greenburg “Consent to War”\nDr. Greenburg will address cultural and ideological beliefs that underpin military economies.
