DESCRIPTION:Come for a Workshop with KlezKolorado co-founder Ben Sweet about the queer history of Klezmer. Uncover hidden narratives\, explore diverse identities\, and celebrate the LGBTQ+ contributions to this vibrant musical tradition borne of Ashkenazi Jewish communities of Central and Eastern Europe. Engage in discussions\, listen to queer klezmer compositions\, and honor a legacy of resilience and creativity.  The workshop will be from 5-6pm with free dinner provided and a Klezmer music jam to follow from 6-7pm! Feel free to bring an instrument for the jam\, sing along\, or just stick around after to schmooze. No prior experience necessary!
